Liberian Canadian Association of London

At the Liberian Community in London (LICAL), our mission is to promote unity, cultural pride, social inclusion, and community development among Liberians in London, Ontario. We are committed to creating welcoming and inclusive spaces where individuals and families can connect, build meaningful relationships, support one another, and thrive together.

Our work is rooted in the belief that strong communities are built through shared responsibility, active participation, and mutual respect. Through community-led programs, advocacy, and strategic partnerships, we strive to strengthen cultural identity, encourage civic engagement, and reduce social isolation. We provide opportunities for youth development, family support, and leadership growth—ensuring that every member of our community has access to the tools and resources they need to succeed.

LICAL is also dedicated to fostering long-term community capacity by promoting volunteerism, developing grassroots leadership, and maintaining transparent and accountable governance. Our mission is guided by the voices and experiences of our community, ensuring that everything we do reflects their needs, aspirations, and collective vision for a stronger, more inclusive future.
